Gardner, S. (2009). Conceptualizing Success in Doctoral Education: Perspectives of Faculty in Seven Disciplines. The Review of Higher Education, 32(3), 383-406. This article demonstrates how 38 faculty members across seven disciplines extend support in forming success for doctoral students. It conducts an in-depth research applying a constant comparative method in understanding faculty members’ own experiences of student success in doctoral education. It begins with summarizing relevant existent literature and the conceptual context guiding the study. Key elements in existent literature relating to doctoral success include retention, academic accomplishment, graduation, and professional socialization were also studied. The research indicates that doctoral education varies and is experienced inversely amongst the different disciplines. In examining the diversity among the disciplines, culture and framework influenced the faculty members’ conceptions of doctoral success. In addition, a common ground was established between departments directly related to institutional effects mainly focused on ranking, status, and funding o bservations. As the song says â€Å"everybody needs some†, Emerson Drive. Their newest C.D â€Å"Countrified† is a great C.D with awesome songs. This is the best C.D I have heard by them. The Emerson Drive C.D â€Å"Countrified† has eleven songs, most of which are upbeat and fast. Three songs are two of their new ones on the radio, â€Å"Moments†, and â€Å"You Still Own Me†. It also include their version of â€Å"Devil Went Down to Georgia†, originally by Charly Daniels. Comparing it to most country music, this is highly original. It is more modern then most country and generally upbeat. As I state this , an example is break-up songs. On this C.D there is a fast pace, up beat, break-up song, called â€Å"Painted to Much of This Town†, and compared to things like Racal Flatts â€Å"What Hurts the Most† this is extremely upbeat. One of my favorite songs on this C. This song is an upbeat, fast, love song which is strange because most love songs in country music are very slow, such as Trisha Yearwoods â€Å"Thinkin About You†. This is a change which makes the song very good. This is about a guy saying no matter where he goes or what he does the girl still owns all of his love, like it says â€Å"I can go were I wanna go, do what I wanna do, say what I wanna say, but baby, you still own me.† My least favorite song is â€Å"Countrified Soul†. I dont like the words to this song and it gets very annoying. It is an upbeat song with random word choice, for example one part of the chorus is â€Å"moonshine, down home party time, liven loose and letting go, and keep my countrified soul†, that I extremely dislike. The only good thing about it is that it is highly original. The last song on the C.D, is Emerson Drives version of â€Å"Devil Went Down to Georgia†. This is a good song, but not when they sing it. They messed with a part when the devil was playing the fiddle. They added piano/ keyboard and made it sound really weird. I wanted to hear it when I read it was there on the back of the case, but after I heard it, it was†¦never again Overall this is a good C.D, but some songs are really annoying. Generally with this C.D if you dont like a song you will absolutely hate it. I recommend this to Emerson Drive fans, country music fans, and actually also Racal Flatts fans. Out of 1-5 stars I give it 41/2.

Question: Describe the Plant and the Society for Food Chain. Answer: Look Back Importance of plants in society and food chain is the two selected topics for this research paper and both these topics have been taught in the class room. However, it is required to mention that there were almost 4 topics that were taught in the classroom and among these all, I have enjoyed these two above mentioned topics largely. Elaborating the topic It can be stated that for all forms of life, plants generate the basic food staples and this is one of the basic reasons that why plants are essential in the society. Apart from that, he plants are the major sources of oxygen and food on the globe, since no other animal is capable to supply the necessary components without the plants (globalissues.org, 2016). The second topic is food chain, as it is one of the well known facts that every living being required energy to live and a simple food chain demonstrates how each living thing gets food as well as how nutrients and energy gets transmitted from one living organism to another. Therefore, it is understood that both these topics are useful enough to discuss and thus the selection of these two topics are justified enough (Likens, 2013). Analyzing the topic I have found that the both the classes were interesting enough and among the four discussed topics, I liked the importance of plants if the society and food chain the most. Food chains were highly interesting for me and I enjoyed the lectures on this topic highly. I have learnt several types of food chains, especially who eats what and this was interesting enough to me (Rahman, Hasegawa Lim, 2012). However, it is required to mention that famine detailed discussion on nutrition as well has interested me a lot and I have come to know a lot about this part. However, it is required to mention that the discussion of monosaccharide, disaccharides and polysaccharides were not highly interesting to me and this part was quite boring (Cedervall et al., 2012). Reviewing the selection The way of representing the topics were interested enough and thus I believe that the discussion of all the topics are required to be likewise, so that all the students get to understand the situation carefully (Likens, 2013). At the same time, it is necessary to mention that the way of teaching carbohydrates, monosaccharide, disaccharides and polysaccharides are required to revise, so that the students feel interested enough to learn this important part (nhm.ac.uk, 2016). New perspectives I think more visual representation of these parts would encourage the students to learn more about this part.
